What’s your name and where are you from?

My name is Jacey Caldwell, and I live in Colorado.

Tell us about your family - Who are the special people in your life?

My husband Josh and I have three sweet little boys.

Tell us your motherhood story - Did you always know that you wanted to be a mom? When did you have your first child? What is your hope for this motherhood journey?

I grew up in a big family and always had babies around me. I loved it and couldn’t wait to have a baby of my own. After getting married, we talked about waiting a couple of years to have a baby, but ended up pregnant five months in. I was twenty-two when I had my first baby.

My biggest goal and hope in being a mother is to raise little humans who love the Lord, who love people wholeheartedly, who know that they are loved, seen, valued and cared for no matter what! I hope I am always present in my kids lives and my kids never doubt my love for them! Which means I will be really tired for a long time but it will be worth it!

What does a typical day in your life look like?

Is very noisy! Having three boys (4 including my husband) means lots of running and wrestling. Our days look pretty normal. Morning breakfast then readying and playing. Lunch, naps, snacks. Then dancing till daddy gets home. (We sprinkle Daniel tiger in every once in while too!) Then dinner and light saber fights before getting in bed and reading a couple bible stories. Then we all cross our fingers the kids sleep. It’s nothing flashy but I know one day I’ll look back at this time and say “those were the days.” I am so grateful I am living in “the days” right now!

What are you most passionate about?

Being a wife and mom! I really want to get it right and I know that I can’t do it on my own, but trusting that God will lead and guide me. I fail and learn a lot!

What is the most joyful part of being a mother?

Watching my little guys grow into their personalities and watching their hearts form! When I see my oldest son start to make the right decisions or ask to pray for a sick family member. All the hard stuff feels worth it when you see the hard work pay off! It’s so special.

What advice do you offer new moms?

Grace, grace, grace, give yourself a lot of grace.

How did you discover Kantha Bae?
