Hey y’all, I’m John!
For as long as I can remember, creating something from nothing has been my passion… literally. My mom tells me when I was five, I wouldn’t “just play” with my action figures without telling her about the whole storyline for why the superheroes had to save the day this time.
As time went on, action figures and drawing books gave way to computers and design software, but the one thing that never changed was the goal. Two words, imagine + create have powered every step of my professional journey. Whether it be design, development, strategy or marketing the principle need to create something from a blank canvas will always fascinate me.
Unfortunately, the deeper us “creative professionals” wade into the commercial waters, the more we find ourselves muting the “creative,” to turn up the “professional.” This was the case for me… or at least it was until I met the Kantha Bae team.
Being asked to combine my decade plus experience in Digital experience, with the truly unique mission and voice of Kantha Bae while being challenged to explore the depths of my creative mind on a daily basis may be viewed as an opportunity to some… but for me it sounds more like a Dream Job.
