Just your reminder that during the holidays/entire month of December, shipping can be a bit slower than the norm! However, we're here to put your mind at ease, that is normally nothing to be alarmed over and your package should make it to you safely!
This means from leaving our warehouse, to the first scan, to your goodies traveling cross country to you things can feel like they're moving quite slow... but we promise they will be worth the wait!
A big question we get during busy seasons is "My package is showing shipped but not scanned yet..." so it looks as if it's waiting to be dropped off with the carrier still when normally that's not the case. This is very common. Our shipping team has pick ups scheduled with carriers daily, so if an item is showing not scanned within 1-2 days of the shipping label being created that normally just means the carrier is behind in scanning it, or they just forgot to initiate that first scan in general. That does not mean it's lost, or is anything to be alarmed about. Sometimes a package won't get scanned at all during its journey and just show up. If a package does truly get lost, no worries! As long as you purchased our KB Protect program at checkout we have you covered babe!
In light of the above, please unite with us in spreading kindness this holiday season by extending extra love + patience to our amazing shipping team, as well as all of the mail carriers!
We are a small but mighty shipping team that works hard to get orders out quickly as possible so yes depending on the date of your order. That being said, once the package is handed off to the mail carriers the speed is out of our hands.
Ship dates for the holidays are listed in more detail below.
The holiday fun is here but lovely technology doesn't take off keeping us on our toes during any season.
So if during Kanthmas you experience any technical difficulties please submit them to our tech survey which forwards your concern directly to the tech team (along with any info that might help them) here.
You can also, of course, reach out to support@kanthabae.com for assistance!
The team will leave for our annual company wide "Christmas break" 12/22 - 1/3. During this time the shop will of course be shoppable with plenty of fun happening and you will still see us on the socials here and there (managing Bestie group posts etc...) ... but we will be focusing time on unplugging and truly being with our friends and family.
So please have grace as respond times for customer support will be much slower and shipping will be paused for a period of time etc... don't worry though! We will ensure any questions or concerns you have are answered asap upon our return on 1/3, if not potentially a little sooner.
During this time the best way to reach out, as always is support@kanthabae.com.
If you're not already, we would LOVE to take this time to invite you to our Bestie group! It's not only a great place for free spirited community full of love throughout Kanthmas, but all year long! You will find friendships, style inspo, exclusive KB goodness and it's another great way to stay up to date through the Kanthmas season!
Join the Bestie Group here.
We think that about covers everything friends! We are SO excited to celebrate this holiday season with you! If you think of any other questions please reach out to our customer support team anytime and we'll be happy to help! 💛
BIG hugs,
Team KB! ✨
I became a KB Bestie in April of 2020
This sleeveless floaty silhouette features a tie back neckline for ultimate customization, ultra wide "cut to your length" raw hem legs, an oversized screen in the front and a branded KB patch logo on the back.
These two dreamy designs are made from 100% organic cotton using eco-friendly and sustainable manufacturing practices and all natural washes. Sewn, washed, and printed in the US. These jumpsuits are unisex and one size recommended Women's 0-24.
This black jumpsuit has the coolest rock 'n roll wash on it, just like your fav black dream tee and crop! This artwork is for all the starry-eyed dreamers... It features moon phases, stars, and a full moon face wrapped in the word "moonchild."
This gorgeous deep berry color with bright pink artwork will turn heads! The artwork flowed from the heart... literally! The celestial heart is being gently held by open hands with a root running down. It serves as a reminder to keep your hands open and remain rooted in love, always!
Wear it slouchy and off the shoulder, wear it high neck and even wear it backwards and you create the VIBE, beauty!
These jumpsuits are perfect for humans of all heights! Taller friends: you’re going to love the flowy length and shorter friends: these are raw hem friendly and can be cut to your dream length!
Here’s a step by step tutorial for you if you decide to take off a bit of the length. We got you, bestie!
Is your Dream Jumpsuit too long on you? Not to fear, babe! This style is raw hem, meaning you can cut it yourself with NO SEWING required! If you're nervous, don't be... our amazing Brittney made a tutorial so you can cut with confidence! The video above is a great resource, and we've broken it down into steps below!
1. Decide How Much to Cut Off
Put your jumpsuit on, and play with how much shorter you want it to be! You may have someone help you with this step. Measure up from the bottom and see what the sweet spot is for you.
Remember: You can always take off more length, so it's smart to start small!
2. Fold Your Jumpsuit in Half + Measure
The key here is to fold the jumpsuit in half and line up the legs! This means you only have to cut once, and the legs are guaranteed to be even. Line up the seams, demonstrated in the video above. Then, measure how much length you want to take off, and mark a cutline with a piece of chalk, crayon, straight pins, or anything you have on hand!
Tip: It helps to measure up from the bottom in several places to ensure your cut line is not crooked!
3. Cut With Confidence!
Grab a pair of sharp scissors (doesn't have to be sewing specific... the best pair from your junk drawer will do!) and just cut along the line!
BONUS: If you want to get creative, use the excess fabric that you cut off to use as a headband, hair tie, or something else! The possibilities are endless.
If you're a shortie but don't want to tackle cutting yours yet, tying at the ankles is a great option! Below, Callie has also wrapped the ties around the straps in the back, creating a bit more of a halter effect! It's another gorgeous way to wear this jumpsuit of our dreams.

And be sure to tag us (@kanthabae) when you are shining in your new favorite jumpsuit! xo

Check out these Flourish Wrap Dress styling tips from our dear friend Eva (@harryandthehippychick):
Our sweet friend Amy shared this review as well: "The Flourish Wrap Dress works for plus-sized Besties. Hurray! I tied it at the hip and still have some length on the ties. I love the flowy bell sleeves and the ruffle bottom. I have a distrust of wrap dresses so I wore a tank dress underneath. I can honestly say my dress did not come "unwrapped" all day. It's love. Get yourself one!"
The Flourish is perfect for date night, brunch with your friends, a wedding or to throw over a pair or shorts to embrace a feminine touch!
If you don’t consider yourself a wrap dress person, give the Flourish a try—so many members on our team have been raving about how surprised they are with their love for this versatile, elegant and bold new design!
Shop Flourish Wrap dresses below and be sure to tag us (@kanthabae) on social media in yours, beauty!
Headed to the beach? We've got you covered. A kimono can be worn as a robe, a beach cover up, or light layer to wear to the pool. Dress it up for cocktail hour, or throw it on with your every day wear to keep your shoulders covered in AC.
A key example of versatility is our Flourish Wrap Dress which serves three totally different looks: an open kimono to throw on as you head to the pool or shopping for the day over a tank and shorts; a loosely tied layer to add some texture, and pattern over a tshirt and jeans or your fave KB lounge pants. Of course, it doubles as a truly stunning, head-turning wrap dress for a night on the town or summer event (think wedding, baby shower, graduation... the possibilities are endless!)
Pro tip: don't discount your "winter" pieces! Kantha Coats (pictured on Krista above) are the perfect beach piece... like a boho towel you can wear!
We believe that the journey of self love can begin with one decision at at time. One gentle shift toward a more kind inner dialogue. One day waking up and deciding to dress how you want to feel--not in fear of or seeking the approval of anyone else. We are huge believers in dressing how we want to feel and wearing what we want--no matter the occasion.
Hand in hand with taking time to heal weekly and daily self care is a MUST! Whether it's a quick 10 - 15 minutes in the morning to meditate and breathe, it's a spa day, your daily walk, a hot bath, exercise, or a nightly ritual as you're getting ready for bed. Schedule that time for you, and trust us those you love around you will benefit just as much from it because they will get the best version of the person they love so much!
What is one small step you can take today on your journey of self acceptance, compassion and love? Maybe that looks like tending to your physical needs and carving out time for a walk in in nature or drinking a cup of herbal tea? Or maybe it means playing dress up in your kantha and finding an outfit to adorn yourself with that makes you feel like royalty (hint: you are). Or maybe it's replacing a nagging narrative that's on repeat in your mind and write a post it and hang it on your mirror as a reminder when you need it of your extraordinary, irreplaceable light.
Whatever that looks like for you, here's a gentle and soul stirring reminder that as we pour into ourselves, the ripples reach around the world. You are loved, today, right here and now, friend. Let's choose to carry this love with us throughout the rest of 2023 + beyond. Together we can create a culture of love that outlives any occasion, or fuzzy feeling.
With open hands,
Team Kantha Bae
Hi, friends! We’ve had so many of you say, “I wish I could pull off a Head Wrap,” or “I would love to wear one but I could never tie it right” or even, "A head wrap would never look right on my head."
We are here to tell you yes you CAN! 🙌🏼 Head wraps are our #1 best seller because you just can't go wrong with them. They add bohemian flare to any outfit. (Yes, ANY outfit. We're counting pajamas 🙈)
If you're unsure where to start, fear not! The team has compiled a few tutorials on our favorite ways to wear ours! This is only the beginning... the possibilities are endless, and we know for a fact that anyone can rock one! The best way to learn is to play with it and find what you like best on you!
We've also compiled a comprehensive Head Wrap Guide over on Instagram so be sure to check that out for EVEN MORE how to's and inspo!
In this video, Krista will show you the easiest way to wear your head wrap. If you're a first time wearer, this is the perfect one to start with because you can't mess it up! She also quickly covers some other variations.
To accomplish this look simply wrap the Head Wrap around your head 1-2x and then secure in the back. From there you can tuck the tails or leave them out for extra flair!
This one also takes 0.2 seconds and will have you immediately looking put together. Leave the tails in the back for a more effortless look, or tuck them in to be a bit more polished! Rock it how you want! ✨
This is Grace's go-to way! We just love how this looks with a messy bun, and Mia will also show you how to rock it with your hair down.
For a bolder statement, learn to tie your head wrap with a rose at the front! It looks intricate, but we promise it's easy. 😉
At 3:00 into the video, Krista gives you a quick tutorial on how to do the crown tie. This one feels very Coachella, and could not be simpler!
Our girl Ashley will blow your mind by showing you how to wear 2 head wraps at once. How did we not think of this one?? Most of you have 2 (or 3 or 4 🙈) head wraps laying around. Why not wear them together for twice the fun?
Her reel also features some other fun and unique headwrap tutorials like a fun braid! Thank you for sharing, Ashley @rainydayjames3611). We are endlessly inspired by your creativity.
We hope this helps, friends! Again, there are so many more ways to do it, so feel free to scroll the feed! You guys are always showing us your favorite ways to wear yours, and we repost them all the time. Show us your favorite way by tagging @kanthabae in your Insta posts and stories!
People are and always will be the heartbeat of Kantha Bae... seeing people and loving them. The stories of beautiful souls from across the globe are woven into each and every garment here. We are so honored to begin to, with their permission, be able to share the stories of some individuals and families from our amazing partners in India with you, all told through their own words. So welcome to the first of many, Stories of Hope blogs!
Gunjan was one of the first employees of our partners in India. She is a lady with a beautifully contagious smile, big dreams and an even bigger heart. Through working with Kantha Bae, Gunjan has not only been able to help provide for her family, but has been able to thrive. She is also an amazing leader in her department. She arrives early everyday to prepare the quality check space for her fellow workers, trains them how to intentionally quality check each piece, and ensures they are set up for success and comfort throughout their day. Gunjan is part of a group of 20 beautiful souls who quality check and mend each and every up-cycled piece with love + intention.
Here is a piece of Gunjan’s story told by our India team…
“She is a 30 year old lady, born in a place with no electricity, no transportation, no proper water supply, no phone to communicate--nothing to live even a normal life. She has 8 siblings with two parents who doesn’t have any work to fulfill the family’s basic requirements. She had to leave her education and work in agriculture so they can have food on time. Her sisters always help her so she can earn the bread and butter for her family!
It was hard--so hard--that no one can imagine but she had to do it. She is the eldest child and she somehow managed to do this. Slowly she had some money so she sent some of her siblings to schools too. It’s time for her to get married, but she made her siblings capable so they can earn and fulfill everything’s family need.
She got married far from her house (30 hours by train). She got married so far because the place she lived has a high demand of dowry that her family cannot afford so they had to do this.
She got married in our village where she knows no one because it’s a arranged marriage so she was unaware of anything. As she came she was always requesting her husband to let her go to work, but he was worried so he always avoided her request. She didn’t have much of anything.
She never lived her life for herself but she wanted to do something. One day somehow she got to know about my dad as he used to bring some work from Jaipur so they can help household ladies. That’s how she came. My dad try to bring as much work as he can, but it was hard for him to give all the ladies work because he has to go to Jaipur. Sometimes he has to face situations and everyone related to him had to wait.
A little snippet of a day in the life for Gunjan
When you guys came into our life, we were able to provide work to all people who was connected to us and added more people! She was one of the first ladies who started working with us when we connected with you guys. She worked so hard and she learned so many things: she learned how to handle many situations.
Today she has a team of ladies whom she teaches how to check every single bit of every design! She comes before everyone else so she can arrange everything so no one faces any kind of difficulty. She is working so hard that today she earns equal to her husband which is so rare in rural Indian culture.
She is finally living her life for herself. We still remember when she got her first jewelry with her money. We could not capture that moment on camera but we still remember—she had tears in her eyes thanking everyone. That’s something she never had in her life. She inspires everyone to work and that’s because of you all, you love everything we do for you, you guys appreciate our efforts and inspire people.
She and everyone are so thankful, thank you for always loving us, we love you soo much and thanking each one of you from bottom of our heart.”

As you've probably heard us express, this is one of the most intricate lines here at Kantha Bae. It requires up to 242 upcycled saris to create a a batch of these designs, all double-layered with both cotton on one side and the signature silk Goddess patchwork on the other. All of the patches are individually hand-placed and stitched together with love and intention.
Even the scrap pieces that are too small to use in creating any other garment are sustainably used here in the patchwork patterns you see to ensure nothing goes to waste.
Through this beautiful process, 300 jobs are provided in the village we partner with in India. All with safe work environments, fair wages and the opportunity to work close to their families doing something they truly love.
In the words of our partners in India, "Slow fashion process with intention..."

Meet Khadi - a luxe boho dream line of neutral closet staples
These dreamy designs were created to be luxe boho staple pieces that pair like soul mates with your fave Kantha pieces and we hope this blog helps you get to know them more + the beautiful story behind this gorgeous new line!
What is Khadi?
You’re probably wondering, much like we did, what exactly is Khadi? To explain it simply think a beautiful sister of the fabric we all know and love, linen. However, the 2 fabrics are defined differently by the technique, fabric content and country of origination. India is Khadi’s birthplace, it is a hand spun piece usually made of cotton while linen is a cloth woven from flax and can be found produced in countries worldwide.
The story behind Khadi, from our partners in India:
Years ago in India when money was few and everything was made by hand, it was difficult for families to secure enough money to purchase fabrics to create their clothing with. During this time however there was an item they had plenty of through their agricultural efforts... cotton! Cotton proved to be a huge blessing for all as families could start weaving their own beautiful fabric to adorn their bodies with. Thankfully since they could not afford new clothing for every season this beautiful cotton fabric also proved to be both durable and versatile... standing the test of time, the cold and the heat. Khadi, the beautiful sister to the fabric we all know and love, linen, is hand-loomed from cotton grown in local villages and then sewn together to become the magical garments you see!
What impact are these designs making on India today?
As always here at Kantha Bae are main focus is to see people, so of course the heart behind this line continues to embody the heart of our shop.
This new Khadi line is not only providing more work and new jobs to the villages we partner with in the sense of the talented sewers but in other ways as well.
This line is providing work for those who are skilled in the trades of hand looming fabrics, producing cotton and hand dying fabrics.
When you snag pieces from this new line you are continuing in the Kantha Bae story to make a tangible difference in those lives in India as these pieces provide work for more talented sewers amongst artisans of other trades, who without this opportunity might not have the chance to earn a fair wage through their talents.
As always thank you for loving on our shop big and for helping us truly see people both stateside and worldwide!
You can read deeper into our partnerships in India here.
The Collection
This collection features a style for every occasion and one size options accommodating an array of different beautiful shapes + sizes, from a 00/0 - 22/24. These dreamy pieces are ready to take you from an afternoon at the beach, a lounge at home, a brunch date, to the boardroom--we've got you covered.
How do I care for my Khadi?
The question we all want to know when experiencing a new fabric in our clothing. These have been pre-shrunk to assist in avoiding any washing mishaps and they get softer and softer with every wear + wash. Like with the pieces you already know and love from KB we always recommend hand wash + hang dry to get the most life out of your pieces. However, in a pinch we have also had success in washing on a cold, gentle cycle in a delicates bag and then hung to dry. Fluff lightly in the dryer on low heat if a refresh or fluff is needed.
Bottom line: Khadi is the new linen, it’s our newest closet staple and we are obsessed! We hope you love these beautiful new offerings as much as we do friends!

With open Hands,
KB Fam

Nomadic State of Mind JC Platform Double Decker Sandals
For those of you who want something extra comfy and simple with a slight platform.. these are a neutral, earthy dream! Don’t let the “being made of rope” fool you, these are sturdy! We’ve found they fit TTS.

Hand-drawn by our very own Grace Hollowell, this tee serves as a reminder to "see people wholly, love them fully, and walk with open hands." This mantra guides all that we do at Kantha Bae.
Embodying Krista's longstanding mantra, these tees also serve as a reminder to "see people wholly, love them fully, and walk with open hands."
We are proclaiming "peace be unto you" not just during the holiday season but always! This artwork was inspired by the henna Krista received from our India team when she went on her trip to meet them. The subtle holiday feel of this shirt makes it perfect for the season, yet wearable all year long.
Artwork designed by our very own Grace Hollowell and mantra inspired by our KB Bestie Lily Gibson, this tee reads "Planted... not buried." This phrase is about shifting your perspective; about thriving in your circumstances and looking up towards the sun. All our life experiences make us who we are- some good, some bad- and we can choose to feel buried or we can own it and grow from it!
This mantra serves as a gentle reminder to slow down, open your heart and mind and be here now.
This serves as a visual reminder to be present in the moment. The henna-adorned hands feature a nod to Kantha Bae's Founder Krista, as the "Asha" tattoo on the wrist is inspired by Krista's actual tattoo. Asha is a Sanskrit word that means "hope" and so much more. Our India team told us that there are not English words to describe the weight of this word.
You can find the gorgeous tee's and pullovers in our Dream Line here, beauty.
]]>Hi, beauties!! We get so many exciting questions all the time about the behind the scenes of Kantha Bae! Many of you want to know more about what processes your pieces go through before they find their forever homes, or what our partnership with those we link arms with look like! To respect the special relationships we have cultivated, we keep certain things in confidence for the safety and privacy of our partners. But with careful consideration and their permission, we have some things to share to give you a deeper look into some of our amazing partnerships! Story is at the center of everything we do, and we are so excited to allow you to delve a little deeper!
In short here is a little run down of details of how many of your special kantha + silk pieces are created… also watch our video below for some behind the scenes of what these processes look like!
This video, processes, and information are specific to our India partnership but similarly apply to our other partnerships, as well. Stay tuned for more details on those soon!
1: Sourcing up-cycled materials: In India, there is something similar to a bartering system. Women will go to the markets and trade some cotton and/or silk saris that they are ready to release in exchange for basic needs for their home such as pots and pans, etc.
This is how our partners in India are able to create their own partnerships within these markets and purchase the retired saris to breathe new life into!
2: Preparing them to be sewn: From there, there are a group of ladies who will sew cotton saris with beautiful Kantha stitching to prepare them for their new life! During this process, pieces that are not up to quality will be put to the side... but don’t worry, nothing goes to waste here! They will take these scrap pieces and use them for needs within their households such as filling for pillows or blankets, etc…
3: Designing the pieces: Designing is something very important and personal which a lot of heart and soul is put into by both our stateside fam, feedback from our community (YOU) and our India team.
This process requires the ideas to be created, laid out, and from there a pattern to be created. Once the pattern is created a few samples will be sent to us here in the U.S to look over! This process is meticulous but so fun! We get to spend numerous hours of video chatting and collaborating one-on-one with our partners for this process, marrying both our dreams of a design and their expertise in sewing!
4: The design coming to life: After they are prepared by the lovely ladies mentioned before, and we have a finalized pattern, the material is taken to be cut out to the pattern specifications by talented women in the village and then taken to be sewn by a group atisan men in the village!
Fun fact: most of the sewing machine action that happens is actually by the men in their culture!
These men + women are expert pattern makers/sewers and are brilliant at bringing these gorgeous patterns to life on a larger scale so all of you are able to enjoy them!
5: What about the scraps? As mentioned before, nothing goes to waste here and not only is it not going to waste, but it helps those in the village as well so win-win!
Any scraps are given to those in the village to create whatever they please! One thing they are used for quite often is stuffing for pillows, bedding etc… another amazing way to bring new life to something old!
6: Quality checking: Once sewn, these pieces go through a quality check by an amazing group of ladies! These ladies check for holes, stains and anything else that might hinder these pieces from living new lives and they repair them with tender love and care!
Whether it be patch, or a stitch, these ladies are very intentional in ensuring these pieces are the best they can be to be adopted by you! So know that every time you see a patch or a place where stitching was used to repair, these are some of the faces who did so!
7: Washing: After the items are complete a group of ladies carefully hand washes each piece and then hangs them to dry!!
8: Photographing: After production, these pieces move on to be photographed by an amazing group of men in the village! Every piece is individually photographed and prepared to receive a unique label corresponding with that photograph.
9: Packaging: From there the pieces are labeled, packaged and scanned into our system before being packed away in boxes in order!
10: Shipping: All boxes must measured, weighed and appropriate customs paperwork filled out before being taken to the nearest city for shipment at a local courier’s office!
11: Arriving in the U.S: Once delivered to us, our team hand unpacks every piece and matches it to its corresponding photo before putting them in order on our shelves. Next step, they are packaged with care and on their way to your door!
So our partners are just that… partners. What does that mean? It means they own their own businesses and we partner with their businesses. In certain cases such as our partnership with Basha Boutique, the makers are employed by an organization such as Basha and then we partner with that organization to help support their mission. None of our partners are actual employees of Kantha Bae, but rather kindred spirit businesses that we are able to uplift, empower, and support through linking arms in a partnership. In this, we do still see them as true family since we have a very close relationship with them, so they are of course the most beautiful extension of our Kantha Bae stateside fam!
The specific villagers in India that we link arms with for many of the fashion designs + more that you know and love own their own business. We have been so blessed to partner with them to bring these designs to life… enough so that we are the primary source of business for them thanks to you loving on our shop and on their creations! How this partnership works is they set a price for their creations and services that is fair for them and allows them to run a business with love + integrity and we pay them that price for their creations and services. Simple as that!
We have experienced the safety of the work environments first hand in India, as well as with ALL of our partners. We ensure that a fair wage is paid across the board to all of our partners. All of our partnerships here at KB have been chosen with intention and are kindred spirits to us. People come first and love + kindness is everything.
In addition, we also gift a percentage of proceeds from our O.H Line at the end of each year to help aid them in anything else they might need. We also provide help when certain needs come up, such as when COVID hit India hard we were able to, with your help, provide funds for a COVID facility right within their own village to provide emergency care.
Over time, we have also been able to provide homes for some who were needing them and more! So in addition to our day-to-day partnership, we are always staying in tune to any additional needs our India family might have and help any way we can.
Very close! We FaceTime and message them daily, as well as plan trips to go visit them physically whenever possible. They keep us updated on good news and bad news in their villages. We laugh together and cry together; we call each other best friends and do life together on the daily.
For sure! Here’s some fun facts…
1: In our partnerships, women have a big role in the business which is a rare thing to see in India and many other countries outside of the U.S! It’s so cool to see women being given an opportunity to create and lead all over the world!
2: Our partners are who found us, which is pretty cool! We received an email one day from a passionate young woman in India sharing her heart, dreams and asking if we would be interested in linking arms with their business. After some intentional time spent learning about their business and heart, we said yes! Over time, with your support, we have been able to go from providing them with a small amount of business to now them becoming one of the largest exporters in India! The rest is history!
3: In India, work is very sacred and the most important thing to them. It’s so beautiful and special because everything they bring into their work space is given thanks for, prayed over, and blessed. These artisans truly love and take such honor in their work! It is something they do together with their families and the people they work with become part of their family. They do everything united together while being joyful in using their talents to make beautiful creations!
4: The work we provide allows many to work with their families instead of having to try and find transportation and accommodations 3-4 hours away in larger cities where work is more plentiful. Finding work or transportation to work is not always easy. So being able to work within their village, alongside their family and friends is something they hold very dear!
5: They love American Chocolate! We learned that chocolate in India is very different than here in the States. When Krista went to visit them, that is what they asked her to bring. Everyone was so excited for it… the children in the village caught wind and rushed in to see if they could get some! Which of course Krista was happy to oblige!
6: There are things we have been asked by our partners to hold in confidence such as details about their business, names, exact location etc… thanks for respecting those wishes along with us, and please lift our India team up with us in speaking love, light + continued safety over their community and their country as a whole!

Kantha coats are lightweight enough to throw in your beach bag and make the perfect cover up for an afternoon with your toes in the sand!
Our beautiful friend Vanessa (@thestylefreed on Instagram) shared a brilliant hack for slaying in your dusters/kimonos as a sarong! She's featured here wearing our crepe duster. Such a fabulous idea, friend!
We love styling our turbans as a fun bandeau top to add fun flair to a pair of your favorite shorts or bells on a steamy summer day!
Truly one of our most versatile pieces for every season is our Pareo. The Kantha Bae Pareo features 2 layers of lightweight cotton sari embroidered together in the the finest kantha stitching. We love to use it as a fashion piece, curtain, throw, picnic blanket, scarf, beach blanket...there are so many ways to use this versatile design. Pareos measure approximately 35in x 70in. Our amazing friend Laura (@lauramazurek on Instagram) shows how perfect the pareo is as a beach towel above.
Here's a fun tutorial video that highlights how to wear your pareo as a wrap skirt.
And here's another one of our favorite ways to tie a pareo as a wrap top as well!
We have been LIVING in our dream tee's since they dropped. They are the softest, organic, ethically made t-shirt you will grab again and again. Throw on over a pair of biker shorts or your bathing suit and you are golden! P.S. You just may want to sleep in the dream tee's too...if you know, you know!
If you're feeling really crafty and want to upcycle a favorite pair of your Kantha Bae lounge pants into some boho shorts, take some advice from our dear friend Eva (@harryandthehippychick on Instagram) who shared in our Besties group: "I measured the length and cut straight across the lounge pants to turn them into shorts. I then used my traveling handheld sewing machine to do a straight stitch across and I have to say I am so stoked with the final result!!" We LOVE this hack, beautiful!
We also love how Eva styled her silk muu with a pair of cut off shorts. Just a quick tuck and you're good to go, friend!
Do you have other creative ways you style your beloved KB pieces for spring/summer? We’d love to hear! Comment below, dear!
]]>Our Olive Velvet Stretchy Bells featured on Mia, size 6/8 5'4"
What is unique about our stretchy bells?
Outside of being ethically made here in the U.S you will find that these bells have a fit unlike any other. With many beautiful shapes + sizes in mind we created these designs to fit a size 00/0 - 22/24 and the majority of them are raw hem friendly so they can accommodate numerous heights as well (stay tuned for a blog soon on how to hem all of our bell bottoms to your liking). We have seen both petite + curvy friends enjoy these styles as well as even our expecting mamas! These are truly a pant that will shift and change along with you and your beautiful body through all of life’s journeys and we are SO excited to offer something that special!
Our Brown Velvet Bells featured on Rachel, size 20/22 5'3"
We are also so proud to be able to give a portion of all Bell Bottom profits to our partners in India to meet any needs they have within their community + beyond! We can promise every time you purchase any item from Kantha Bae it is always being poured back into our partners in some way and you are joining forces in being part of a bigger story… one of love + hope.
Our Butter Knit Bells are created out of literally the softest poly spandex blend fabric you can imagine and have a stretch like no other pant we have personally experienced. They are the most size inclusive of our bell line thanks to this amazing stretch and their raw hem friendly design. They also feature a super comfy fold over waist to accommodate you whether you enjoy high waist pants or a low rise look.
With a fit that gives your body the freedom to move without restrictions these feel more like PJ’s than pants but trust me you will be the talk of the town (in a good way) strutting around in these beauties!
Keep in mind due to the stretchy nature of these we recommend sizing down if you want a more “hold you in” fit!
Our Velvet Bells are created from a high quality velvet blend that are like a hug in pant form! We all searched for years to find the perfect velvet bell bottom to no avail so when we created what we’ve all been seeking it was a dream come true! These our the most compressive fitting of our bell bottoms. Your first try on might require a little extra wiggle but after these bells learn and conform to your unique and beautiful body for the perfect fit that, fair warning, might make you feel super sassy ready to tackle the world!
These are not a raw hem friendly design, however, we do have some great tips on how to easily hem these (even if you’re no seamstress) so stay tuned for a blog on that! Things like hem tape are a great tool to easily adjust the length to your liking, or your fave chunky platforms can help you rock these at any height and look fabulous while doing it!
For these we recommend going true to size or sizing up if you don’t want as much of a “hold you in fit.”
Our Cotton Knit Bells are created from an amazingly comfy cotton blend that feel like your fave sweatpants but with a lot more flare! These are another of our Bell Bottoms that are a bit more compressive so you’re going to feel nice and held all day long. If you’re someone who wants a more neutral bell bottom these are for you as they come in 2 beautiful solid colors! Being another raw hem friendly design these are great for all heights!
For these we recommend sizing up as they fit smallest of our bell bottoms due to being a cotton blend without as much stretch as our others. These are the only designs of our bells that we only recommend to a size 18/20 due to being more compressive.
We can't wait to hear which bells become your favorite! They are a wardrobe staple and mix so well with any of our kantha or silk designs as well. Wearing bells is an instant mood lift!

]]>Meet Stacy! She is such a bright light in our Kantha Bae Community and we are so excited to feature her story as she shares some tips on styling Kantha Bae for a professional workplace.
1. I am a die hard University of Michigan fan! I did my undergraduate studies there and will cheer for them always! Football, basketball, hockey, softball...Go Blue! And since I am a "boy mom", loving sports has come in handy staying connected with my teenage son!
2. My favorite color is orange and has been since I was a small child. Some things never change!
3. I love Jesus, dark chocolate, reading by the firelight, laughing until I cry, white wine and sushi, investing in crypto currency, looking into eyeballs and holding my husband's hand!
An old friend from a church I used to attend kept posting videos of these amazing head wraps she was into. She posted the KB link to shop and I ventured in. Funny looking back now, that I thought all they sold was turbans and head wraps! Thank you, Erica Simpson, for sharing your love for this company and it's products! You helped me find "my style" and I am so grateful to you!
Since Summer 2020...and my closet will never be the same!
I bought a few headwraps first, but was never able to pull off the look. So I jumped into the clothes by buying a Serape and an OG Crop. I still have both of them. Can't seem to let them go!
The Besties!! The love and support for people that are scattered across the country (the world actually!) that we have never met continues to blow me away! So many people of different stages of life, different jobs, different beliefs, different world views, yet we all share a common love of this beautiful clothing and the mission behind it coming together to cheer each other on and share each other's excitement when we score a dream piece or put together a killer outfit! It is so much more than just great clothes!
Women often get categorized by the world as "judgy/bitchy/grumpy/hard to please" and this group proves every single stereotype wrong! Day after day, the Besties choose kind words, compliments, and grace over negativity, condemnation, and bullying! It warms my heart to see how much joy and acceptance can be found amongst women when we choose love over hate. Kindness really does matter and the KB community is the epitome of kindness!
The KB Community has helped me feel comfortable in my own skin, finally! As a curvy woman, often times I felt excluded from fashion communities because I didn't look like they thought I should or I was just too big to fit in the clothes they were offering. KB has always made me feel included and worthy of wearing these beautiful clothes! I love how you make some styles that fit the petite Besties best and some that fit the curvier Besties best. And I have no idea the magic you do when you design a style that fits all of us so well! The compliments and encouragement from the Besties make me smile every post I read! We are all fearfully and wonderfully made and we should be able to express that in beautiful clothing...independent of the size of our hips!
The KB Community has also helped me through the pandemic, celebrated with me as I turned 50 last year, and comforted me in the loss of our beloved pet last month! I have made so many new friends that I would never have had the chance to meet without KB! I am so very thankful for this community!
It's so hard to pick! My current fave is the DayDreamer Midi Dress! I bought way too many of them and wear them to work often.
This is very important to me! I am an optometrist and own a private practice with my husband (who is the other doctor in our office) so maintaining a "professional" demeanor, while still expressing my personality, is a line I have walked carefully over the years. I ditched the white doctor coat as soon as clinic rotations were over, because who looks good in a white lab coat, seriously? Then I did the drab suit look for the first few years of my career because I thought it would help instill confidence with my patients, but it never felt like "me."
One of the many advantages of growing older is you realize that confidence isn't about the suit you wear. It is far more important to be authentic and honest with people and that is how you really build trust and rapport with them. KB has helped me apply that authenticity to my wardrobe. I love bright colors and patterns so instead of a solid black suit, I wear my patterned Silk Split Muus with a pair of solid trouser pants. Crepe Dusters and Serenity Kimonos are also work staples for me. And I wear Kantha or Silk Shortie Kimonos to work all the time. I always add bold jewelry and/or some fun boots/shoes to complete my "professional" look. Dressing this way makes me feel more comfortable and my patients compliment me daily so KB in the workplace for the win!
Only three???
1. Definitely a Just This Muu to wear while I sit around the campfire and keep me warm at night!
2. A Gonna Shine Maxi dress so I will look pretty when I get rescued and because I can wear it 4 different sides showing for variety!
3. Debating between a Free to Be Button Down or a Crepe Duster...would use either one as a swimsuit cover-up to protect my sun kissed shoulders!
Thank you so much for sharing your style inspiration and what the KB community has meant to you, Stacy! We look forward to seeing many more of your fabulous outfits in the Besties group!

We cannot promise we can master every single item to feel like home on your unique and beautiful frame, that would not be possible with how many beautiful individuals that fill our world. But what we can and do promise here at Kantha Bae is to always work our hardest to truly see all and to provide an array of sustainable, unique, fair trade designs for as many as we possibly can! We are absolutely confident that no matter where life has you in this moment, your size or season, there are pieces, in the shop that will feel like home on your beautiful body!
We do understand that everyone’s bodies, even those of the same size, are always beautifully different and that one size is a unique sizing model to use in fashion. Therefore the right fit and preference of fit can vary person to person so if there are ever any Q’s about measurements to ensure the best fit for someone’s unique and beautiful shape we are happy to help answer them and assist in finding the perfect item for them.
The Kantha Bae story begins with people. From the families in India and Bangladesh that we partner with to create our custom, one of a kind designs, to the thousands of Kantha Bae “besties” that gather daily online and share outfit inspiration and real life encouragement. Ours is a story of hope, light and purpose.
The evolution of the Kantha Bae story has now led to a retail store, a bohemian marketplace in the heart of Nashville, TN. Krista, our founder and visionary shared: “It’s bigger than the clothes. It’s looking in the mirror and saying: I am beautiful, I can feel good in what I put on. It’s an identity story: I can have community, that thing I’ve always longed for, it does exist. What we are creating is a space where we can do that now, face to face.”
Kantha Bae has now opened a new warehouse, so that our entire operation lives under one roof. We are able to put our hands on the inventory and be the last ones that send out the product with intention and blessing. A truly beautiful space has been created and cleansed with singing bowls and sage. We believe spaces matter–they hold energy–so our warehouse has dreamy music swirling through the air and twinkle lights draped overhead. We are so excited for this full circle moment in our brand story. It’s truly amazing, ya’ll!
Tucked in the middle of our retail building we’ve created a sacred space called The Inner Room designed for community and connection. Think: restorative yoga, healing drum beats as energy cleansing, soulful conversation over a cup of tea and more. It is a space offered with an invitation for our community to gather and “be.” Come experience Kantha Bae and then shop the beautiful, upcycled designs after you’ve connected deeply and refilled your soul. Our retail space is set apart from a traditional boutique and we are so expectant for the life giving moments held in the Inner Room, which will spill out into the retail space full of bohemian treasures.
We will be hosting many upcoming events and opportunities for connection, so be sure to connect with us on our Kantha Bae Bohemian Marketplace social media pages on Facebook and Instagram. We love you big, friends.
